Extended care dietetics has its unique application of nutrition and food service that most dietitians find rewarding. It is the ability to see your work grow and develop in those that you guide, teach, and assist clinically as well as in food service. It is challenging work, requiring dietetic skills as well as interpersonal skills. Our dietitians work with account employees and managers, assess nutrition needs of the residents, assess the food safety and sanitation, identify and solve problems clinically and in food service, all while improving the resident’s quality of life.
Our consultant dietitians have knowledge in nutrition assessment of the elderly as well as food service and food safety. They know State and Federal regulations pertaining to our clients. Our consultants are independent and are able to structure and schedule their work time based on the accounts given. The consultants are flexible for their accounts and willing to make adjustments in their schedule to meet the most pressing needs. We travel to our work sites from our homes, but always feel supported with our mentors and experts in our business that are available for training, questions, and auditing.
